So with a busy season on the horizon my lovely wife suggested we inform parents of all the events that are coming up in youth group.

March Break Madness All-Nighter
Date: Friday March 18th - Saturday March 19th
Location: Hershey Centre, Playdium & Bethel Church
Cost: $30
Information: This event is aptly named. We will meet at the church at 6 pm on Friday and head to the Hershey Centre for a Majors vs. Battalion game. Then we will truck on over Playdium for a couple hours of games and finally head back to Acton for an all night extravaganza of fun.
Your teen MUST register by Tuesday March 15th at noon

D Group Hang Out Night
Date: Wednesday March 30th
Location: Will Vary for each group
Cost: N/A
Information: Our groups will take off together and forego the regular routine of a youth night and bond together! Each group will be doing it's own thing, so be on the look out for permission forms that will explain what your teen is up to!

30 Hour Famine
Date: April 15th - 16th
Location: Bethel Church
Cost: N/A - But must raise pledges (see Andrew for a form)
Information: This is a fundraiser event for World Vision. The teens voluntarily fast (abstain from eating) for 30 hours to help them empathize with those suffering around the world. The event focuses on raising both funds and awareness. Many of the activities will help educate the teens participating in what is going on around the world and what they can do to help.

Pitch And Praise
Date May 20th -23rd (May Long Weekend)
Location: Braeside Camp in Paris, Ontario
Cost: $99 Before April 30th ($115 After)
Information: We are switching things up a little this year. We have never attended this event as a youth group, but I have heard from countless others in the Youth Ministry community that this event is a "can't miss." We are doing a trial run this year to see how the kids enjoy it, and I must say from what I see, it looks awesome. Great speakers and entertainment, small groups, dances, games, tournaments and camping together! I look forward to the bonding experience of breaking my back on rugged ground for the sake of our teens!
