Hi Parents,
Last night was a chatty night, but it was a pretty good night all together. We discussed what it means to be "religious" and how that word has been put in such a bad light. The Scriputres (specifically James 1:26-27) talk about what religion SHOULD be. We discussed what it means to love, care for and pour ourselves into things around us. We broke down into groups and came up with ideas of things to serve as a youth group this year.
The two main ideas we came up with was to connect with the high school in meaningful ways and serve, and secondly to pour into sick kids hospital. Moving forward, we will look to serve both of these places all year long as a youth group.
It should be a wonderful adventure to serve with the group!
